Shoppers in the North East visiting Morrisons stores have shared their frustrations after not being able to find certain items during their weekly shop.
The reason is shoppers may not find certain items is due to a cyber incident which targeted Blue Yonder’s warehouse management software.
However, Morrisons have said they are ”working very hard” for their customers and emphasise that frozen items alongside tinned and dried foods are fully stocked.
A Morrisons spokesperson commented: “We are currently operating satisfactorily on our back up systems and we’re working very hard to deliver for our customers across the country.”
Blue Yonder released a statement, saying: “Blue Yonder experienced disruptions to its managed services hosted environment, which was determined to be the result of a ransomware incident.
They added: “Since learning of the incident, the Blue Yonder team has been working diligently together with external cybersecurity firms to make progress in their recovery process. We have implemented several defensive and forensic protocols. We have notified relevant customers and will continue to communicate as appropriate.”
